Update – Sessions, Forty Below Records, and Conrad

Hello and Happy New Year!  I’m happy to report I’ve been busy drumming in the studio for a handful of country and roots artists, including Amy Loftus, Ricky Johnson, KaiL Baxley, Seneca And The River, and Samantha Valdez.

Working with Eric Corne and Forty Below Records on a bunch of new releases for 2015.  Check out what’s going on at Forty Below!

I’m also getting ready for some live dates with a great Australian singer/songwriter named Conrad, whose collaboration with Kygo, called “Firestone”, just went to #1 on iTunes and Spotify Norway.  Go Conrad.

Can’t wait to see what 2015 brings.

Session with Skip Saylor

I had the pleasure this weekend of playing on a country record for a new singer/songwriter named Ricky Johnson with Skip Saylor producing and Robby Lattimore on bass.  We tracked at Skip’s studio.  Working with Skip was incredible.  Among his many credits are Wilco’s Being There and Tom Petty’s Damn The Torpedos, two of my favorite albums ever.

I played my GMS Maple kit with a few different snares, a Supraphonic, a Black Beauty, and a 8″ x 14″ Tama brass.
